Arsenic levels in the soil ranged from 6.3 to 8.6 milligrams per kilogram, exceeding safe limits. Although soil lead levels, 15 to 46 milligrams per kilogram, were below safety thresholds, groundwater lead levels were above the safety standard. Vinyl chloride, a toxic gas used in plastic production, was also found in groundwater at unsafe levels. The site contained other debris, including tree trunks and abandoned vehicles.
